Problem Note 52839: The FILEBLKSIZE option for 3490E or 3590 cannot be set to a value greater than 64K

In SAS® 9.4 M1 and earlier, the maximum value allowed for the SAS system options FILEBLKSIZE(3490E) and FILEBLKSIZE(3590) is 64K. IBM supports a maximum block size for tape cartridges of 256K.
Starting in SAS 9.4 M2, if you have also specified the SAS system option FILELBI, the maximum value that you can specify for FILEBLKSIZE(3490E) or FILEBLKSIZE(3590E) is 256K. If you do not specify the FILELBI option, the maximum value for the FILEBLKSIZE options remains 32K.
